Students will develop these skills:

• Understanding 2D, 3D shapes

• 3D Design skill with TinkerCAD

• Creative thinking / Self-expression: Your child will share ideas, prioritize what to focus on, present their design, participate in group discussions

Through this course, children will be going through a 5 Design Thinking Process of book design; Empathize - Define - Ideate - Prototype - Test. Together, we will redesign and transform a book into a design-friendly and interactive book.

• Empathizing: Getting exposed to different points of view through group discussions. Learning how to respect other points of view.

• Identifying/Defining: Identifying and defining what current problems exist in the current version of the book. 

• Ideating: Sharing ideas, prioritizing what to focus on, and coming up with solutions

• Prototyping: Rapid prototyping of book design using various methods for their idea

• Test: Test and validate the idea and prototype
